On the left, Strange Tales #135. This issue is kinda a big deal. Merry Xmas to me. On the right is my attempt to make Lil Shoe interested in comics, Nancy Drew #1, The Demon of River Heights, in graphic novel form. This store has way too many action figures. A guy caught me geeking out on some Star Wars playsets a he followed and enabled me. Then a guy my age with a kid Lil Shoe’s age commented on my Venture Brothers shirt and the Strange Tales in my hand. We almost became best friends.
